Tournament Highlights: •Best time of the year for billfish and giant yellowfin tuna. •Fully equipped boats with world renowned captains. •Bikini model on every boat as observer and radio operator. •Professional photographer on every boat. •Fishermen compete for Cash prizes based on largest tuna/game fish and high score catch and release billfish. •First place Teams gets an invite into the IGFA 2008 World Championships. •Models compete for best image and best tournament operator award. •Photographer competes for best image award/cash prize. •Portion of the proceeds donated to the Recreational Fishing Alliance. If there is only one tournament you fish all year, this has to be the one! The Banderas Bay Big Game Fishing Tournament consists of 2 days of offshore fishing and is an IGFA world cup-qualifying event. The winner will receive a cash prize and an invitation to the IGFA world championships. Observers for the catch and release portion of this tournament are swimwear models provided by Ujena Modeling Agency and there will be a professional cameraman on each boat to document the fishing. Other events held during the Ujena Bikini Jam week include the El Tigre Golf Tournament, Bikini Acrobatics Competition, Photographers Competition, Five K Race, Professional Makeup Artist for Print Competition, Costume Party, Talent Show, Nightly Parties and a final Awards Ceremony for models, photographers and all fishing tournament entrants. Combined cash and Prizes for all events are expected to exceed $200,000.00. Angler lodging is all-inclusive at a five star resort and includes all the food you can eat at the five on-site restaurants, open bar, VIP passes and transfers to all off grounds nighttime events. Add to that the charter fee for you and a friend on a 31’ to 35’ charterboat with world-renowned captains, all the rods, tackle bait and your tournament entry fee and the total cost is approximately $1,850 per person double occupancy. The golf tournament includes greens fees and is an additional $100 For private boat owners with 2 persons fishing, a captain and a deck hand the tournament boat entry fee is $1,000 for each day of fishing in the tournament. Five nights lodging is required for 2 persons. Lodging includes food, drinks and all nighttime events as above at $795.00 per person double occupancy. The fishing tournament will be a two-day event. Each day will be separate from the other. Either day is eligible to win first place in the event. There are four parts to the fishing tournament event alone. 1. First place is heaviest weighed game fish (billfish not included). Prize amount is 40 % based on entry fees collected and is expected to exceed $10,000. In addition, with 10+ boats in the event; an invite to bring your team to the IGFA world cup will be included. 2.Second place is the best catch and release Billfish/Sailfish scored by release points. Prize is 30 % of entry fees. According to our records, this has been welcomed by locals as the first catch and release billfish tournament to be held in Puerto Vallarta. Note: Sponsored prizes and positions will be announced as received. 3.The Ujena bikini models portion of this competition: A $1,000 cash prize from Tunabite. 4.The photographer position for this event: A $500 cash prize from Tunabite. $200.00 Scholarship from Ujena.
